The Danish Ministers dialogue with people all over the world about the better food for more people movement.

Published 21. september 2017

On September 18 the Danish Minister hosted a “Dinner Club” at the Danish Embassy in Washington DC. During the evening the minister and his guests discussed how we can push forward the agenda on ensuring better food for more people.

The concept of the dinner club is developed by the Danish Minister for Environment and Food Esben Lunde Larsen himself and started as a follow up to the first World Food Summit – Better Food for More People in 2016. The dinner club is a new way for the Danish minister to engage in dialogue with knowledgeable people and get inspiration to new actions.  At the Dinner Club the minister and his guests prepared a meal together under the instruction and supervision of a chef followed by a shared meal and dialogue.

The minister and his guests discussed the challenge that we have lost the sense of connection to the origin of food. Many do not know what they eat, how it is produced and what it consists of. What we eat has a major impact on our health and well-being, and the more we care, the more we can do to ensure a more food production and better food for more people.
