The Royal Danish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur raises awareness of food waste prevention
The Danish Embassy explained how sustainability in food production and food consumption is a part of the Danish food culture and thereby a part of the Danish cultural heritage. As Danish consumers are becoming more and more aware of this issue, it can also be considered as a part of the modern Danish lifestyle.
During the evening, the Danish Embassy handed out information on the Danish way to prevent and/or reduce food waste. Food waste prevention is a national priority in Denmark that engages all actors within the society and therefore it is a win-win situation for all involved parties.
Guests discussed how food waste challenges could be approached by getting important stakeholders involved and committed to making real changes.
